Fast and efficient full-featured nonlinear editing is made possible with the turnkey Studio Pro RTX Editor designed to seamlessly integrate with Apella servers and NewsFlow systems.

Streamline Editing
The Studio Pro RTX.2 Editor is a fully integrated non-linear SD/HD editing (NLE) system designed for fast-paced newsroom editing. Utilizing the power of Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS4 software, use the NewsFlow Studio Pro Editor to ingest field footage, edit clips, add titles, and record voiceovers. The VT News Edit Plug-In, embedded within the NLE, allows producers to browse the central server media and drag and drop video/audio files into the Adobe project bin for editing. Once the package is complete, the revised media is exported directly from the Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 timeline to the Apella playout server. Exports are performed up to three times faster than real-time and without transcoding native DV or MPEG-2 files. Getting content to air has never been this easy, fast, and efficient!

Realtime Effects
The turnkey nonlinear editing system includes Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 software and the Matrox RT.X.2 board, which provides real-time effects including white balance color-correction, 2D/3D squeeze-backs, and mosaic face blurs with keyframe tracking. RS-422 Broadcast VTR control and Firewire deck control are provided for batch digitizing video footage locally or into the centralized NAS/SAN storage.

Project Management
VT Project Manager organizes Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 editing projects and raw media content for multiple editors in a collaborative editing environment. Projects are automatically stored in logical local or network folders that make them easy to consolidate, archive, and purge as necessary. Customized project templates ensure every editor starts each project with the required user interface and folder destinations.

Flexible Configurations
The Studio Pro RTX.2 News Editor is a robust NLE solution available in rack-mount, tower, or laptop configurations. The system is compatible with new field acquisition products like Panasonic’s DVCPRO P2 and Sony’s XDCAM.
