Technics, a company that consistently
delivers the most feature-packed and affordable
solutions to the broadcast industry, now offers
native integration with Sony’s XDCAM camcorders
and editing decks for fast media ingest directly
to the NewsFlow™ centralized database. Gain
a competitive edge with seamless XDCAM interoperability
making the news production process much faster
and more efficient.
NewsFlow™ is a highly scalable solution
for small to large broadcast facilities providing
ingest, edit, playout, and archive functionality
with a productive digital newsroom. This IT-centric
solution offers robust multi-channel ingest/playout
Apella™ servers, servers, central NAS/SAN storage
with comprehensive asset management, low resolution
proxy editors/browsers, and nearline/offline automatic
archive. NewsFlow creates a completely shared editing
environment with the VT Adobe Plug-In,embedded in Adobe
Premiere Pro workstations. The VT Adobe
Plug-In allows editors to browse and edit shared
content; then export the revised media directly
from the Adobe timeline for immediate playout on
any Apella server. |
The
VT XDCAM Browser Works Wherever You Need it – Inside
Adobe Premiere Pro, on
VT Proxy Editor Workstations, or Even Standalone for MXF/AVI
File Exports.
Video Technics provides native interoperability with
Sony XDCAM camcorders and studio decks using plug-in
technology embedded in Adobe Premiere Pro, or in inside
the VT
Proxy Editor™, or even standalone to export
AVI and MXF files for use with almost any nonlinear editor
or server. Production is seamless using the VT XDCAM
Browse dialog that includes drag and drop functionality.
Easily select media from the XDCAM and drag to the Adobe
Bin or import directly into a NewsFlow SAN or NAS for
shared access and playout on any Apella video server
channel.
The VT XDCAM Browser connects directly to any XDCAM
device on the network allowing users to browse or sort
by ID, date, duration, and thumbnail picture. Import
both MPEG IMX and DVCAM media types. Files are automatically
wrapped in either an AVI or MXF file container without
transcoding, which preserves the original file quality
while transferring files faster than real-time. As such,
you can easily select and drag the XDCAM media from the
VT XDCAM dialog into the Adobe Project Bin for editing
or exporting for playout.

NewsFlow Studio Pro non-linear editor utilizes Adobe
Premiere Pro with plug-in technology from Video
Technics that provides seamless integration with
broadcast video server ingest or playout and
centralized media storage. Features include low
resolution proxy browsing and editing with AAF
import into Adobe Pro Project Bin, direct export
from Adobe timelines, and Adobe Pro Project management
tailored for collaborative work environments.
The VT
Proxy Editor provides simplified and SMPTE frame
accurate, low bandwidth editing anywhere on the network.
With the VT Plug-In functionality, operators browse
the VT XDCAM dialog from the VT Proxy Editor and drag and
drop selected XDCAM material into the NewsFlow centralized
database for editing. Edited timelines are played out
immediately to air from any video server channel or
exported to NLE’s such as Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
using the AAF file format export feature.
